Dane County is inviting Bids for reroofing and recladding at the Henry Vilas Zoo Administration Building. The existing siding consists of architectural cement and cedar accent boards. The new design is to reclad the exterior with a metal panel system with a similar look to newer buildings on the site. The existing roof on the administration building is a ballasted EPDM system; work will require replacement of tapered insulation and EPDM material. Installation of roof-mounted solar (PV) panels and some site work improvements at the entrance will be included in the project. A pre-bid facility tour will be held May 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the zoo administration building. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this tour.
